Grilled Barbequed Oysters
Fresh large oysters in their shells
Butter
Garlic
Your favorite barbeque sauce
To make the barbeque-garlic-butter: heat butter, sauté garlic until it softens then add barbeque sauce to taste.
Place oysters (cup side down) on grill. Oysters will steam in their own juices until they just open — about 3 or 4 minutes. At that point remove them from the grill (I use leather gloves or tongs with a towel). Shuck oysters, they’ll be easy because they’ve already opened a crack. Place back on the grill and baste them with the barbeque-garlic butter. When oysters curl and sauce is bubbling around the edges, serve immediately. Watch Mike’s tutorial
