Springtime at Monahan’s Seafood

It’s that time of year! Warmth in the air, lilacs in bloom, and some of our seasonal favorites returning to our fish case. Our friends out East have been busy on the waters and this weekend we’ve got fresh Mackerel, Squid, Tautog, Butterfish, Sea Robins and Bluefish, just to name a few! Alaskan Halibut season has been off to a strong start, and Maryland Soft Shell Crabs are close to being in full swing. A very special guest in our case this weekend is the spring delicacy that is Connecticut River Shad Roe! Be sure to read Mike’s Post about what makes Shad Roe so delicious and such a true marker of spring. Cheers to a beautiful time of year, and the freshest fish in town. Come on down!
