Monahan’s Crab Dip

Monahan's Seafood Market | Fresh Whole Fish, Fillets, Shellfish, Recipes, Catering & Lunch Counter-Ann Arbor, Michigan

Serves 8-10 as an appetizer

  • 1 lb. fresh Jonah crab, or lump crabmeat (if using lump crab meat pick out any cartilage)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup jalapeño jack cheese, grated
  • 2 T piquillo peppers or roasted red peppers, coarse chop
  • 2 t jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 t Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 t tabasco
  • 1/4 cup Reggianno Parmesan cheese, finely grated

Pre heat oven to 400º. Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl except Parmesan and gently mix. Spread out crab mixture in a casserole or baking dish. Sprinkle Parmesan over the top. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until nicely browned on top. Serve with tabasco.
